Recay Jan-08 100 signed copies of animation (on DVD) were delivered to residential streets in Lewis, East Sussex, UK in the hope of obtaining feedback.  To date no response has been received.  The animation itself uses, as a basis, an old recording of the reading of a letter from the artist to radio DJ John Peel (now deceased). An Attempt at an Autobiography Dec-07 A professional clown stands with a chain around his neck which passes up through a pulley and down to a ceramic handle held by him.  On a wall nearby hangs a famous image by photographer Ernest Withers. Cormac's Cup Jun-05 The title, found after the piece was made, relates to an old Celtic folk tale.  In the animation the components of a broken mug separate and reassemble.  For the purposes of producing it a real mug was smashed and the individual parts were scanned in using specialist hardware.  The animation should be projected up in the proximity of a hammer and the real pieces of mug. Commuter Oct-04 Initially influenced by observations of passengers, standing, some inebriated, travelling on London Underground.  This is the first animation which employed Second Order Differential Equations.  Ideally the animation is projected up so that the rectangular frame edge blurs and is not apparent. Train04 May-04 Looping stop-motion animation with chant.  The toy train moves on a circuit bounded partly by the limits of the camera's image frame.  The artist's newborn daughter slept on his shoulder as he recorded the 600 or more frames required to make this.
