Press Release: This exhibition is a series (a Fibonacci Series as it happens) of paintings which extend from work started one year ago. A form of photorealism has been employed throughout. In terms of concept, the idea of the ‘feedback loop’ is always of interest to the artist. An ambition here was to create work which is traditional and reasonably unchallenging and to strive to remain earnest. Micheál O’Connell (aka Mocksim) has been pursuing expressly artistic interests for almost a decade now and graduated from an MA in Fine Art with Distinction in 2006. To find out more: Google Mocksim.
